Redefine aging as a process, something natural we all experience rather than a label placed on older people. Repositioning the issue provided the opportunity for Aging Services of California to assume a broader, more progressive role as the state's leading advocate for quality senior living and care. The nonprofit organization's public education campaign — “Aging is an Active Verb" — expanded its audience to consumers and media in order to more effectively represent the needs of our aging population and at the same promote the benefits of its provider-members. Helping the cause further was the auspicious development of a new, more appropriate identity for the 45-year-old institution formerly known as the California Association of Homes and Services for the Aging.
