The National Clearinghouse for Families & Youth is a government-funded program with an important mission. Because there was no budget to market their resources and services, NCFY encouraged the national Education Writers Association, Criminal Justice Editors Group and other journalists throughout the country who cover family and youth health and safety issues to get the word out. The agency has become a resource for troubled youth and families as well as a model of communication efficiency with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
